Free Saturday Group Class for New Muslims
Every Saturday at 10.30am, Al Khaadem runs a free in-person group class for new Muslims and anyone exploring Islam, at their centre in Petaling Jaya. No booking, no commitment, and no fee. You simply come.
We collaborate with Al Khaadem for group learning because they have been doing this since 1984, and it is one of the largest new Muslim communities in the country.
What happens on a Saturday
You arrive at 10.30am and join The Foundations of Islam class, taught in easy to follow English by a rotating line up of experienced teachers. Afterwards there is space to speak privately with one of their qualified advisors about anything on your mind: prayer, family reactions, marriage, or the practical side of becoming Muslim in Malaysia.
Nothing is required of you. Al Khaadem describe it themselves as no commitments, no requirements, and that is genuinely how it runs. Come once to see what it is, or come every week.
Who you will meet
Al Khaadem’s advisors include Dato’ Sheikh Hussain Yee, a well known figure in Malaysian dawah with decades of experience guiding new Muslims and their families, alongside a team of advisors from different backgrounds.
One familiar name is among them: Ustaz Shareef El-Arbi, who also leads the 1-to-1 online classes we collaborate on separately. If English is your strongest language and you would rather learn in person with others going through the same thing, Saturdays at Al Khaadem and our online sessions cover the same ground in different formats, and some people use both.

An honest note about this collaboration
Al Khaadem is an independent organisation. It is not run by Wisdom Hub Academy, and we receive nothing from sharing it. We point people there because in-person group learning suits some new Muslims far better than a screen, and Al Khaadem has been building that community for a very long time.
