About Wisdom Hub Academy
Wisdom Hub Academy is a small dawah academy in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. We train Muslims who want to share their faith with confidence, and we welcome non Muslims who want to ask questions in a calm place.
Why this exists
I began doing dawah in 2022, speaking mostly to fellow Muslims. In 2023 I started studying comparative religion, and I began speaking with non Muslims around Kuala Lumpur.
One Ramadan, on a public holiday, I was on duty at the mosque. There were two of us on the floor that day. Two. I stood there and could not put down a question: how do we make more daies?
In Melaka I saw the same gap in a sharper form. On weekends those mosques receive more than a hundred visitors a day. Many walk in curious, look around, and walk out again with nobody to explain what they have just seen. Some days there was nobody on duty at all.
That troubled me more than I expected, and I could not put it on anyone else. I had seen the need for years and had not yet built anything to meet it.
Over those years the same three problems kept appearing.
Many Muslims want to do dawah. They simply do not know how to begin, or where they are allowed to practise.
Language stops good people. There are Malaysians who understand dawah deeply but cannot carry the conversation in English, so they stay quiet in the moments that matter most.
And many expats and foreign Muslims living here have never been told a simple thing: they can do this too.
There are more places to do dawah in Malaysia than most people realise, from Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya to Penang, Melaka, Ipoh, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak. The opportunity was never missing. The starting point was.
So I drafted a plan.
Wisdom Hub Academy opened at PV8, Setapak, on 8 July 2026. Our first class had seven students. We took them to Melaka, to those same mosques, to do live dawah. Since then more than forty students have joined.
How we work
We do not put other faiths down
A conversation that begins with insult ends before it starts. We explain what we believe, clearly, and we let it stand on its own.
We answer the question that was actually asked
Not the question we wish had been asked. Listening carefully is half of the work.
We are not in a hurry
Nobody is pushed toward a decision. A conversation that ends in understanding is already a success.
Who we are
Wisdom Hub Academy was started by Ikmal and his wife. A few volunteers joined soon after, and that is who we are today. You can see how we train people in more detail. We are small on purpose, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise.

What we do
Mosque tours
We host visitors inside the mosque and answer whatever they walked in wondering about, and help people explore Islam in Malaysia at their own pace. Book a free tour.
Street dawah
We meet people where they already are, in public spaces, without pressure. Every Sunday in Bukit Bintang and USJ.
Usrah circles
Small weekly study groups for Muslims who want to go deeper before they go out. Thursday nights in Setapak. New here? Start with the basics.
Where we are, and who this is for
We are based at PV8, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, and our field work runs across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Putrajaya and Melaka, with dawah happening in many more states than most people realise.
If you are Muslim and nervous about starting, you are in the right place. If you are not Muslim and simply curious, you are just as welcome. You will not be pressured here.
